I saw this on a blog and thought I’d try it out. There are 12 questions and you type each answer into an image search engine. You can only pick an image from the first page of results. The links are pasted into a mosaic making website thing and it creates a beautful piece of artwork. Here’s mine…

Yes in that time D and I got engaged, my family and I planned a wedding in little over two months and now I’m a happily married woman! It’s been an incredibly exciting time if not a little scary. The responsibility hits me the most. I finally appreciate a lot more of what my Mum has done for me all these years. Co-ordinating a meal for 2 is hard enough never mind 5. Despite being a veggie I’ve cooked a roast dinner and a curry. I think my cooking is improving and D is still standing!

I love living with him. It sure beats all the flying. Just waking up with someone beside you is lovely. Even the ironing is kind of therapeutic, if not it tires me out ready for bed. We went on belated honeymoon to Venice which was really good. I’m enjoying settling down into married life knowing that whatever comes our way, we’re facing it together. D works part time in a pub so you may expect more ramblings in the future, sigh.

Digging up the past

Many weeks ago I began tidying my room. That hasn’t lasted long because I’m so busy. Actually that was when I had a day off with no plans. Anyway I put lots of old cassette tapes in box. Then this evening I decided to see if my old favourite kids tape was there and I unearthed a whole treasure trove. I think I’ll get them put on CD and burn them to my computer then off to my computer they shall go.

Since when did I become so tired?

Probably about the same time that my life became incredibly busy. This weekend I was actually at home with no plans apart from catching up on various odd jobs, like shopping. I’m not shoppings biggest fan but I actually got a fair bit done. The hair product that my hair has become addicted to was incredibly hard to find but I managed and bought a decent supply. I also got some glitter glue which is great stuff. I did find it hard finding my artistic inspiration though.

I went back to my uni town/city the other week which was very bizarre. I came to the conclusion that most of what I miss just isn’t there anymore. No offense to friends still there but the whole crowd has dispersed and my life style is completely different. It did give me a certain element of closure though.

Laughing at Bebo trying to play catch up with the other networking sites with all its new features.
Wondering if the explosion of ezcema yesterday really was because of the raspberries.
Tired of products claiming they’re the answer to sensitive skin when they irritate mine.
Amazed that my older sister actually turned her phone on never mind replied to my text.

Day Trip to London

I went on the London Eye for the second time the other week. It was a good day for it in terms of the weather although the pod was a bit too hot and they don’t let you drink inside. It was a bit of a wait to go on, not too bad though but I’m English so I wouldn’t know…’Welcome to England, we love to queue’. Anyway we headed over to the Science Museum afterwards which frankly wasn’t as good as it used to be. Oh and another thing, is a ‘Tomato and Mozzarella Salad’ really just thick slices of mozzarella cheese with thin slices of tomato on top? Never mind, you live and you learn I suppose. At least I actually ate out without any hassle.

Commuting

I started off my day slightly grumpy yesterday. I was awake during the night as I have been several times this week so the daily separation from my bed was particularly traumatic. I sat on the train to work contemplating the exciting day ahead…stock take day. As we approached my stop I got up and stood by the door. Now here’s a valuable note to commuters. If you want to get on a train it is wise to let the people get off first. Seriously it’s not possible to walk through me. I was standing alone and really it takes a few seconds to let me past. Some people are so incredibly rude and self centred. So there I was walking into work and joy of joys the workmen are relaying the path outside our door. Tar everywhere. When I finally made it into work I felt immersed by grumpiness. It’s never a good start to a day.

Yesterday I received one of those dreaded phone calls. She started off, “I’m afraid I am the bearer of bad news”. He was 25. I’m supposed to be hearing exciting news from university friends of engagements, weddings and babies. I never expected that my uni friendship group would be dealing with death so soon. On a very selfish note I hate being so far away from my place of study. I’ll miss the memorial tonight. I’ve missed my uni friends a lot since I returned to the south, but not as much as I miss them now.
